It’s never easy to get the word out about our stories as a small local reporting incubator, especially since Facebook has been blocking us from boosting posts due to what the social media site claims is the overly political nature of our work. That’s why we count on you, our readers, to share our articles, and why we attempt to distribute our reporting through as many channels as possible.
Our recent feature about parole in Massachusetts, “The Fight for Life,” already ran in DigBoston in addition to on the BINJ site, and will soon be running in Worcester Magazine as well. Still, while we can use all the local push that we can get, we are thrilled that The Appeal and The Marshall Project—both leading sources of news and information regarding criminal justice and prisons—picked up the latest from BINJ and reporter Jean Trounstine.
